We do not handle plagiarism lightly, but we also have policies against putting students in potentially embarrassing/compromising/sensitive situations. This matter would be handled privately between the accused student, the teacher and a supervisor/coordinator. If any teacher (at least here in my country and state) were to receive an anonymous note saying that a student had cheated and kept the answers in their bag, we would NOT do a huge reveal in FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS.
